There are thousands of influences making change in business inevitable.

Factors from outside the business include:
  • Technology progress, such as advances in IT, email, media and AI (artificial intelligence).
  • Changing market conditions, such as the exchange rate, supplier pricing and demand for new services.
  • Legislation, such as working time directives and the national living wage.

Factors from inside the business include:
  • Personnel changes, such as key employees taking advantage of redundancy packages and new senior appointments being made.
  • New management processes or production improvement techniques, such as customer service improvement initiatives and JIT (just in time) production models.

There is a constant need to cut costs and improve efficiency to remain competitive in the marketplace.
