Did you know that on this day, in 1953, Jacqueline Cochran became the first woman to fly faster than the speed of sound? Jacqueline flew an F-86 Sabre Fighter plane at 625.5 miles per hour to break the record, only to outdo herself on 3rd June in 1964, when she flew twice as fast as the speed of sound. Although Jacqueline had already been crowned ‘the best’, she didn’t rest on her laurels and become complacent, she constantly strived to be the best and smash records. Ok, so getting in the Guinness Book of World Records might not happen for some of us, but what about breaking those records and targets that you’ve set yourself? The business owners that make up their mind to be successful have all kept their goals in sight. They have a clear vision of where their plane is headed and, consequently, have all achieved the goals, no matter how big or small, that they have set themselves, allowing them to now look forward towards their next challenge. If you've had some success this past week (no matter how small), make sure you tweet us and we'll share the good news! |
