and Understand the Buying Cycle

One of the things we get to look at with our clients is how their customers buy or purchase products.  To understand a little more about their business we get to see in detail why they buy using this business tool.

The buying cycle is the process business prospects or clients go through when they realise they've got a problem that needs fixing or a want that must be satisfied.  It has six main stages:
  • Recognising there's a problem/want
  • Searching for solutions to the problem/want
  • Creating a shortlist of solutions then picking one
  • Finding suppliers who provide the chosen solution.  Selecting one supplier
  • Making a purchase/hiring the service provider
  • Recommending that supplier
